Charles University and the Brussels Institute for Geopolitics (BIG) are happy to announce the winner of 2023 Essay Prize. Following a competitive selection process, we are thrilled to reveal that the winner is Matěj Prášil from the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University was awarded this prestigious honour for his outstanding essay on the question Which partners in the ‘Global South’ are the most strategic for the European Union and why? Matěj will have the unique opportunity to spend six months as a research assistant at the Brussels Institute for Geopolitics.

Erin Carson z Matematicko-fyzikální fakulty UK bude díky pětiletému grantu analyzovat numerické výpočty a hledat nové algoritmy pro výpočetní systémy.

V rámci reakce EU na invazi Ruské federace na Ukrajinu budou specializovaná stipendia MSCA4Ukraine poskytovat podporu vysídleným výzkumným pracovníkům z Ukrajiny. Tato podpora jim umožní pokračovat v práci v akademických i neakademických organizacích v členských státech EU a přidružených zemích programu Horizont Evropa a zároveň zachovat jejich vazby na výzkumné a inovační komunity na Ukrajině.
