About us

Charles University aims to maintain its position as a leading university in the region and in the European scientific and educational arena. It plans to support projects focused on education, research, third role, and structural development to achieve this objective.

The European Centre provides grant support in research and higher education through EU programs like Horizon Europe and Erasmus+. We support projects focused on education, research, third role, and structural development of the institution.

Our main goal is to develop a comprehensive and effective system for the support of research (and educational) projects at Charles University from the EU programmes. The European Centre provides support in preparing project applications, methodological advice in project implementation and networking activities within the extensive networks in which Charles University participates (EARMA, CZARMA).

The European Centre plays a vital role in coordinating the UK's participation in the European University Alliance 4EU+.

This alliance comprises eight top European universities, whose primary objective is to achieve excellence in research, teaching, learning, and administrative support. Additionally, they aim to establish a conducive platform that enables the free movement of students, academic and administrative staff, ideas, and infrastructure sharing.
