Migration Studies and New Societies: Migration Days

The 4EU+ Project “Migration Studies and New Societies”, which is coordinated by the University of Milan in cooperation with Charles University – Prague, Sorbonne University – Paris, and the University of Warsaw, aims at developing teaching projects on migration related issues.

To implement the Project, promote an in-depth reflection and stimulate an informed debate on the multi-faceted implications and future of migrations, the University of Milan, together with other partner Universities, organizes one week of on-line teaching activities – Migration Days – between 17 and 22 May 2021.

4EU+ Migration Days will feature on-line seminars and workshops for selected students coming from all the partner Universities. Students, who actively participate in the minimum number of events and who attend the mandatory inaugural session on 17 May will be able to obtain 3 ECTS (recognition according to the rules in force in partner Universities). The proposed teaching events follow an innovative approach to education which envisages the active involvement of students and they are therefore open to a limited number of selected participants.

Each event will consist of at least two academic hours of interactive teaching sessions and focus at least on one of the following TOPICS:

• Migration Policies in Europe;

• Borders Management, Mobility, Governance of Migration, Irregular Migration;

• Asylum Seekers and Refugees;

• New Societies and Integration;

• Representation of Migrants;

• Past, Present and Future of Migration in Europe and Beyond.
