Three-day workshop organized by the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University focused on wide range of topics, including theory and practice of unbiased stereology as applied to biological tissue, application of machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence to biological tissue or optimization of data collection for maximum efficiency. The participants also presented their ongoing and planned research projects and had an opportunity to further discussed possibilities of cooperation within the 4EU+ Alliance.

„European research and training network for obesity management“ workshop was organised by the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. Speakers were also from other 4EU+ universities (Sorbonne University, University of Copenhagen, University of Warsaw, and Heidelberg University). The workshop has aimed to develop collaboration between 4EU+ universities in the field of adipose tissue biology. Based on the workshop outcomes, specific research activities has been defined and initiated such as exchange of pre-gradual and PhD students or researchers between institutions, eventually leading to joint grant applications under the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe mechanisms.
