            The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is an EU body created by the Eur

            2008 to strengthen Europe’s ability to innovate.

            Horizon Europe [ URL "https://ec.europa.eu/info/research-and-innovation/funding/funding-op

            funding-programmes-and-open-calls/horizon-europe_en"]  is the EU’s key funding programme f
            and innovation with a budget of EUR 95.5 billion. It tackles climate change, helps to achi
            Sustainable Development Goals and boosts the EU’s competitiveness and growth.

            As part of Pillar 3 ‘Innovative Europe’, the EIT contributes to achieving the four key str
            orientations of the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan [ URL "https://ec.europa.eu/info/files/h

            strategic-plan-2021-2024_en"] :

            • strengthening sustainable innovation ecosystems across Europe

            • fostering the development of entrepreneurial and innovation skills in a lifelong learnin
              and support the entrepreneurial transformation of EU universities
            • bringing new solutions to global societal challenges to the market

            • creating synergies and added value within Horizon Europe

            its functioning. The EIT’s strategy, priorities, objectives, key actions, activities, mode
